โœˆ๏ธ By Luisa Machowski

Even though Brazil has a whopping eight thousand and five hundred kilometers of beach, about five thousand and three hundred miles, counting each of our bays, not all of our best resorts are beachside.

You can be at Porto de Galinhas, Sรฃo Paulo, or in the state of Rio de Janeiro, you’ll find it all: tennis courts, a complete fitness center, a kids’ club, natural pools, and more at these luxury hotels.

This list of the best resorts in Brazil is for travelers like me, people who when they put their money into traveling want to have a complete experience. If your trip is in the early stages of planning, follow me through this article as we go through a list of the ten best luxury resorts in Brazil.

Should you have plans to explore other areas of our beautiful country that are not listed here, we also put together ourย premier Brazil travel guideย for your convenience. You can read it later, now onto the BEST resorts in Brazil!

Best Resorts in Brazil

1. Botanique Hotel & Spa (Campos do Jordรฃo)

Best Resorts in Brazil: Botanique is one of our favorites that we visited via Luisa

Nestled into a corner of nature in Campos do Jordรฃo, the Boutique Hotel & Spa is perfect for travelers looking to step away from city life. Complete with an outdoor pool area, a full-service spa that has a hot tub, and an on-site restaurant with an authentic Brazilian menu planned with sustainability in mind. This whole enterprise was made to mesh seamlessly with Serra da Mantiqueira, which is more than most Brazilian resorts do.

The best part? No matter your room, you get some of my favorite panoramic views in South America. Boutique strives to make your vacation the best it can be with personalized activities. Would you like to go on a private horse ride? Watch stars with a professional astronomer? Come here and you will have it all.

2. Palรกcio Tangarรก (Sรฃo Paulo)

The pool at Palacio Tangara in Sao Paulo was amazing.

You may be used to seeing the best hotels in places like Angra dos Reis, but Palรกcio Tangarรก is a well-kept secret in the heart of Sรฃo Paulo. Complete with air conditioning, each apartment is complete with spectacular views of the park around. And even though it doesn’t have a fitness center on-site, guests are welcome to take advantage of a nearby spot at no extra charge.

You can enjoy a full-service spa after exploring Sรฃo Paulo or decompress over at BTG Arena while taking advantage of their tennis courts. Make your reservation with guest relations for a Padel game or tennis courts, both regular and beach tennis. Staying here gives you a great opportunity to explore one of my favorite cities and still be very comfortable.

3. Insรณlito Boutique (Bรบzios)

Buzios, Brazil Resort: Insรณlito Boutique via Luisa

I know most travelers coming to Brazil want to stay closer to our beautiful beaches, so Insรณlito Boutique is the first of our beachfront hotels on this list. Located at Praia da Ferradura in Bรบzios, this charming place is perfect for couples looking to have a romantic retreat. Everything here is as private as it can be in a popular vacation spot.

You can start with a private breakfast brought to each of the spacious rooms, take a dip into the outdoor pool, or a private beach just for guests. The resort’s shining jewel is its spa! A space with panoramic views of both the Atlantic forest and the beach, you can do many treatments and turn your vacation into a truly relaxing affair.

4. Villas de Trancoso Hotel (Trancoso)

Beautiful Pool view at our stay in Villas Trancoso in Brazil.

Villas de Trancoso is located on the beautiful, coconut tree-studded Trancoso beach in Bahia. There’s no going wrong with northeastern Brazil! This is one of the best hotels for your whole family because it has more than simple suites. Their unique village layout offers everything up to a small vacation house with kitchens to cook in.

What I love about Bahia’s coast is it is perfect for more than just beachgoing. The bilingual staff at the villas is ready to help you set up for an adventure on land or with water sports! But the Terravista golf course needs to be on your itinerary too. It is a scenic course, with shots overlooking beautiful cliffs and beaches.

5. Tivoli Ecoresort Praia do Forte (Praia do Forte)

Best Resorts in Brazil: Tivoli was one of our favorites, as the pools are just amazing.

If you are a traveler with more refined taste then consider staying at South America’s Leading Beach Resort according to the 2023 World Travel Awards. As if that simple fact isn’t enough to charm you, Tivoli is part of an impressive lineup of luxury resorts at Praia do Forte, Bahia. Twelve kilometers (7.4 miles) of emerald waters are protected by coral reefs creating incredible natural pools.

Going beyond what nature offers, this incredible place has a complete fitness center designed to integrate seamlessly into surrounding nature. Or you can leave kids at the Caretta Caretta club while enjoying a relaxing spa treatment. No matter who comes, each guest will have spacious rooms complete with included meals in the rate.

6. Txai Resort Itacarรฉ (Itacarรฉ)

As local Brazilians we just love to visit a good pool.

Unlike other places in this article; bigger resorts have tennis courts, a fitness center, more than one outdoor pool, a golf course, or rooms with a private hot tub. But Txai made it into our list of best hotels because it takes pride in being a different kind of tropical beach resort. This is my top choice for those hoping to recharge during vacation in an intimate setting.

Coconut trees and foliage surround each bungalow, and they’re all arranged to surround a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool. During your time here, you’ll be able to have a tailored experience down to regional cuisine dishes at the restaurant. Feel free to enjoy yourself in paradise, even if it’s just a game of beach volleyball.

7. Kilombo Villas e Spa (Tibau do Sul)

Pool and beach view in our stay at Kilombo Tibau in Brazil.

This is another smaller place that cares more about your experiences than having multiple hotel features. So while it may not have a water park, it will have all the necessary equipment for practicing different water sports. No tennis courts? No problem! Your thirst for activity can be quenched with a scenic bike ride or horseriding into a gorgeous sunset.

Their full-service spa is there for when you need a moment, with plenty of body treatments to enjoy! Sibaรบma Beach’s calm seas are just steps away from guest rooms making it an ideal choice for those who want to make the most of a hidden northeastern gem.

8. Vogal Luxury Beach Hotel and Spa (Natal)

Us traveling to Vogal Natal in Brazil. Pool is amazing.

As Brazilians, we Simply LOVE a Good Pool via Luisa

Going away from cozier luxury resorts, Vogal gives you the best of all worlds. One of Brazil’s best hotels sits on Ponta Negra, Natal’s best urban beach. While you may think that it’s weird one of our best luxury resorts doesn’t even have tennis courts, Vogal’s charm resides in its surroundings with plenty of adventures awaiting.

Because Ponta Negra is in the capital city, your vacations will happen somewhere that stands out amongst tropical destinations. Starting there, you’ll have a Unesco World Heritage site ready for the taking.

9. Nannai Resort & Spa (Pernambuco)

Pools and palm trees relaxing vacation for us at Nannai Muro.

One of Our Favorite Resorts in Brazil: Nannai Resort & Spa via Luisa

Staying at a Nannai resort means discovering a new kind of experience with hospitality. It starts with their rooming options! You can stay at a private bungalow with a private outdoor pool; at a villa suite with a heated pool, private hot tub, and an external shower; or in spacious apartments with amazing views of either the pool or Muro Alto Beach.

What grabs our attention about this place is its dedication to ensuring each guest has an amazing time there. Sports classes, programs in the pool, and activities at the beach for all ages. Specialization is Nannai’s second name.

Best Resorts in Brazil

10. Kenoa Exclusive Beach Resort (Alagoas)

As local Brazilians, we love nice resort stays like at Kenoa Alagoas.

Resorts we Love in Brazil: Kenoa Exclusive Beach Resort via Luisa

Intimate without being intrusive, the Kenoa Exclusive Beach Resort sits at the very end of Barra Beach’s sand strip. And for travelers with a social conscience, Kennoa has special offers where each of your daily rates will help ensure at least one person has food for a whole day.ย

Kenoa strives to help you make your best memories while staying here, so take advantage of the many experiences offered. Maybe check out the mouth of the Sรฃo Francisco River for a unique sight of nature! Do you love water sports? Kenoa’s staff has professional teachers to help you out.

Each of these resorts has its charm, but it’s time to consider what is important for you! What amenities are a must for your time in Brazil? Does it need to be family-friendly? How fancy do you want your leisure area? I’m sure you have plenty more to consider before finally booking. Just keep in mind planning is key to making your trip a success since the best hotels are not only luxurious, but they’re super exclusive as well!

Once everything is set, then your fun begins. Have a great trip!
