This park spans 135.26 hectares (334.2 acres) and is called Campo Grande, the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul, its home. According to the Mato Grosso do Sul Environment Institute (Imasul), the park’s primary goal is to keep parts of the Cerrado ecosystems safe since various plants and animals and the springs of the Prosa stream can only be found there. Beyond preservation, the park aims to showcase the area’s natural and cultural beauty, supporting scientific research, environmental education, recreational activities, and eco-friendly tourism.

Campo Grande is situated in the central-eastern part of Brazil. It stands out as one of the country’s most prosperous regions, rich in Brazilian wildlife, indigenous heritage, agribusiness, and farming. Often referred to as a cultural hub and a vital agricultural hub for Brazil.

Summer Carnival: Brazilian Carnival is one of the most popular festivals in the whole world. It always happens in the Brazilian summer, usually late February or early March. Campo Grande is not exactly known as the capital of Carnival, like Rio de Janeiro. But it does have a small carnival celebration, just like most Brazilian capitals.

Campo Grande Brazil Fall (April and May): If you’re looking for a slower pace, autumn/fall offers milder weather and is less crowded. A pleasant climate that ranges from 64ºF (18ºC) to 79ºF (26ºC) during the day, ideal for hiking in the local countryside.

Staying here is also not that expensive. Keep in mind that it can get crowded during the day and sort of desert during the evening, so be careful!

Amambaí (Best for Families and Groups)

This neighborhood is not only close enough to the downtown area, but it also has some of the main tourist attractions in town, which can be a huge advantage. Although the rates are a little more expensive, it will give you great urban mobility and access to the airport, too.

Altos Da Afonso Pena (Best for Couples)

This one is not exactly a neighborhood, it’s an intersection of other neighborhoods. It has a host of more upscale options for a romantic getaway. You can book a great stay for incredible prices with the bonus of being within walking distance of many great spots in town.

Initially envisioned as the world’s largest freshwater aquarium, the Pantanal Aquarium project encountered numerous challenges and endured years of suspension. It is situated within the Parque das Nações Indígenas.
